Customer Retention Mod

This mod is the result of high demand. We have had so many site owners call about needing a way to monitor and do something about customers that were lost during checkout that we decided to offer an answer to this much sought after question. The customer retention mod does exactly what the name says....it brings back those customers that almost completed their order in your store. Enough promo talk, lets tell you how this mod works.

When a customer reaches the shipping selection of your checkout process (page 2) their order is entered into the CCP Admin Panel and is marked as Pending Payment. Most cart abandonment happens when the customer either sees the shipping charges on this page or on Page 3 of the checkout when they are asked to enter their credit card info. This is where they leave the site and you have an order in your store that is not quite completed. This mod waits for a time period that you define (default is 5 minutes) after the customer gets to page 2 of the checkout and then looks to see if the order is still Pending Payment, if it is then the customer never completed the checkout and the order status is changed from Pending Payment to Abandoned and here comes the good part ....an email is automatically sent to the email address the customer entered on Page 1 of the checkout. The email shows all of the items in their cart with their subtotal and grand total including shipping. It also offers a discount that you define (default is 10%) if the customer returns to your site and completes their order. The email shows them their new total after the discount. There are links in the email to all of the items that were in the customer_s cart as well as a link that takes them directly back to the shopping cart page where they can checkout without having to add the items again! Put an end to cart abandonment with the customer retention mod today.
