Gift Certificates Mod

This mod creates a new page for the gift certificate only and allows the customer to enter any dollar amount they want.
It also allows the customer to select whether they want the gift certificate delivered by email or postal mail.
If email delivery is selected then two emails are sent upon completion of the order:

  • The first goes to the buyer of the certificate letting them know that the gift certificate was delivered to the recipient email address and the message shows the email address that the certificate was delivered to, it also shows the amount purchased and the certificate code itself in case they have a need to give the code over the phone or whatever.
  • The second email goes to the delivery email address and the message tells who sent the gift certificate (the buyer's first and last name), the gift certificate amount, and the gift certificate code. The message also explains how to redeem the gift certificate.
  • If home address delivery was selected then the sender still gets their email as mentioned above but the recipient email is not sent and the CCP store owner is responsible for mailing the paper certificate to the destination address specified on the order the same as with any product that is shipped.
By default, the shipping options for the home delivery method are product based and offer three tiers of shipping:
  • USPS $.075
  • USPS Priority $5.00
  • USPS Next Day Air $18.00
note: these values are easy to change.

When the order is completed, a unique random Gift Certificate Code is generated and added to the discount codes database of CCP so there is nothing for you to add manually. This mod is fully automated and requires no admin intervention.

Man Found Dead in a Shopping Cart (KSEE 24 Fresno)

Fresno Police are investigating a suspicious death. On Saturday morning, officers were called to a mobile home park where a man was found pushing a shopping cart with a body in it. According to neighbors, the men were brothers. The man pushing the cart has not been identified. He is being held for questioning. The cause of death is under investigation.
